What type of truck and equipment should I expect from Moving Yourself?
Moving Yourself provides a variety of equipment to meet your needs. You can order any size compartment from 4 to 53 feet and we will send a truck with plenty of space to move your items.
Are there other costs in addition to the quoted price by Moving Yourself?
Your price is guaranteed and includes everything. This includes fuel, tolls, taxes and insurance.
Do you provide insurance?
Yes. Moving Yourself provides catastrophic coverage for every move. Here are the rates:
$.10 per pound Catastrophic Coverage Included
$1.00 per pound Catastrophic Coverage $70.00
$3.00 per pound Catastrophic Coverage $110.00
Maximum liability per trailer not to exceed $10,000 for above coverage. Other options available, please ask representative for details.
When is the best time to move?
Moving Yourself offers tremendous flexibility with your pickup and delivery. You schedule your move on the date YOU CHOOSE, including loading over the weekends (when it is easier to find loading help). Your quoted price is good for 30 days.
How long does it take to move?
This depends on many factors, including the time of year, weather conditions, time required to load and unload, and the direction and distance your shipment is traveling. With the help of a centralized dispatching system, pickup and delivery dates are scheduled according to your needs.
Can Moving Yourself move my belongings to...?
Moving Yourself can move your household items between any two states in the Continental United States. Moving Yourself does not provide local moves, international moves or moves within the same state.
When should I call Moving Yourself to schedule my move?
It is best to schedule your move as early as possible. Most moves are scheduled approximately 2 weeks from the move date. However, Moving Yourself can often accommodate moves on short notice.
How much will my move cost?
Basic charges depend on the amount of space used and the distance your shipment travels. You only incur additional charges if you use more space than originally contracted or if you decide to purchase additional hazard insurance.
How do I pay for my move?
Moving Yourself accepts Visa ™, Master Card ™ and Discover.
Does MovingYourself provide packing materials?
Boxes and paper are not included. Moving Yourself provides loading ramps and security bulkheads at no additional charge (ramps are provided on a first-come, first-served basis).
How much time do I have to load and unload?
You can have up to 3 days to load and 3 days to unload.
Does Moving Yourself ship or tow cars?
Yes. If you're interested in shipping a car, ask your Moving Yourself move coordinator for rates. Cars can be placed in the same trailer as your household goods when ordering full tractor-trailers.
Can Moving Yourself provide services for a large household move?
Moving Yourself can provide service for any size move - whether it's a single room or 20 rooms. You will find Moving Yourself the ideal provider for any move, large or small.
Can Moving Yourself provide loading and unloading services?
Moving Yourself does not directly provide loading or unloading services, but we can suggest packing and loading services through quality local movers in your area. Ask your Moving Yourself move coordinator for more information.
